Jardin Restaurant, Alcúdia

Macarena de Castro is the shooting star among Mallorca's chefs. The young Mallorquinian received her first Michelin star in 2011. For the time being this marks the culminating point of a career that began as a kitchen assistant at the family enterprise 12 years ago. Macarena de Castro's career stations include Ferràn Adrià's "El Bulli" restaurant as well as Andoni Luis Aduriz' "Mugaritz" restaurant, among others. At her own restaurant, the "Jardín" in Puerto de Alcudia, she loves to work with local ingredients. Macarena de Castro calls her creative cuisine "Cocina de autor," which is based upon traditional Mallorquinian dishes. Quite the expert, she includes molecular pranks in her compositions. Sensual food with a feminine touch. Closed on: depends on the season.
Price range €€
Grand cuisine with ambition and female touch. Macarena de Castro is the shooting star among Mallorca's chefs.
The "Jardín" is located in an area otherwise studded by fast food chains. Once inside the restaurant, the surroundings are easily forgotten.
