Individual ratings for Kulm Hotel St. Moritz

Location

The hotel is centrally located in the upper village of St. Moritz, with a spectacular view of St. Moritz Lake and the mountains of the Upper Engadin.

Ambience

The hotel is shaped by its own tradition of stylish, discrete luxury with a conservative touch.

Infrastructure

6 restaurants, the Miles Davis Cigar Lounge, a bar, a spa (opened in December 2012) featuring a unique panoramic pool, a 9-hole-golf course including an academy, and 3 tennis courts (during the summer), a proprietary curling lane (during the winter), and childcare.

Culinary

Something for every taste: from pizza, to Japanese cuisine, and all the way to gourmet dining at "The K." Hans Nussbaumer masterfully combines native produce with French and mediterranean haute cuisine.

Rooms

172 classic rooms and suites, spread over three buildings. We recommend booking nothing less than a room of the "Superior Süd" category with a view of the St. Moritz Lake. All rooms of the two lower categories "Standard" and "Superior Dorf" overlook the hotel's driveway and the street.

Service

Marked by silent perfection. The highly dedicated team combines professional finesse with personal warmth.

Kulm Hotel St. Moritz Hotel, St. Moritz

Any first-time visitor to this impressive hotel complex will be reminded of the architecture popular in the former Soviet Union rather than of a five-star grand hotel. Once inside, however, he or she will be amazed by the sight of stylish salons with magnificent wooden ceilings, plush sofas, and a fire crackling in the hearth. While no match for the glamour offered by the neighbouring Badrutt's Palace, the hotel cultivates a relaxed elegance and unpretentious understatement. Indeed, the Kulm Hotel St. Moritz has had an excellent reputation for more than 150 years. Thanks to its founder, hotel pioneer Johannes Badrutt, both the "Kulm" hotel and St. Moritz developed into a prime location in the Swiss Alps in the 19th century. In 1928 and 1948, Kulm Park actually served as venue for opening the Olympic Winter Games. To this day, the hotel is home to the St. Moritz Tobogganing Club, with award ceremonies taking place at the hotel's legendary Sunny Bar.

They remember anyone who has stayed at the hotel. After a few visits, you turn into a regular client, and will be issued a pillow with your first name stitched on it to rest your head at night.
The maze-like network of corridors can be annoying. Depending on which room you are staying in, you will have to pass through endless hotel corridors to get to the spa or the restaurant.
