Individual ratings for Gasthaus Adler
Located in the heart of the wine-growing hamlet of Fläsch, across the street from the "Volg" village store.
It is simply cosy in the two small wood-panelled, no-nonsense dining rooms.
Eight tables laid in white linen are spread across the two wooden rooms on the first floor. Handsome wine cellar for tastings and aperitifs, a smoking room in the Adlerstube, and a small patio for the warm time of year.
Honest down-to-earth cuisine with a creative twist. The dishes of Siggi Tschurtschenthaler are testimony to his origins in Graubünden and South Tyrol. One of his classic dishes: Saddle of venison seared in chocolate sauce and served with poppy seed pasta. Be sure to leave some space for the delicate Kaiserschmarren shredded pancake, because this native of South Tyrol is also a gifted pastry chef.
The wine list contains marvellous selection of around 400 vintages, the emphasis being on local wines from the Maienfeld County in Graubünden.
Friendly, competent, and attentive.

"Adler" sells wines of Graubünden's best vintners at very reasonable prices! It makes the Chardonnay by Gantenbein and the Pinot Noir "H" by Christian Hermann – either of them outstanding wines from Fälsch – even more delicious, we find. In fact, it tends to make us careless enough to order another bottle.
The lobby area may give you pause. Just pass right through and mount the stairs – it's worth it.
