Individual ratings for Ristorante Quadri

Location
Located directly on Saint Mark's Square, with a picture postcard view.
Ambience
You will find palazzo grandeur most conspicuous in the two parlours with their red silk wall hangings, an awesome coffered ceiling, and heavy Murano glass chandeliers, which lend a genteel air to either of the two rooms.
Infrastructure
You enter the room through the eponymous "Gran Caffè." Up on the first floor, the restaurant divides into two elegant dining rooms with large panoramic windows.
Culinary
Creative seasonal cuisines, awarded one Michelin star in 2012 and in the years since. We found the spaghetti "alla carbonara" unforgettable – done unlike anything we knew, the Japanese way.
Wine List
Well-appointed wine list with 600 vintages, presented on an iPad, in keeping with the times.
Service
Perfectly choreographed "waiters' ballet," with workflows in perfect sync. Attentive, competent, and decidedly friendly, serving you either in Italian or English.

Ristorante Quadri Restaurant, Venezia

It is no mean feat to find creative cuisines in a city that is inundated with tourists day in, day out. The "Quadri," a restaurant of long-standing tradition, is run by the Alajmo brothers. Max Alajmo counts among the best chefs anywhere in Italy, and was previously awarded three Michelin stars when working at his own restaurant "Le Calandre" in Rubano (just outside Padova). His second restaurant on Saint Mark's Square in Venice includes two opulently furnished dining rooms up on the first floor, lit by large Murano glass chandeliers. The menu lists Italian and Venetian classics in modern interpretations, straight-forward, and with distinct flavours. It is very rewarding to order fish and crustaceans here. The fresh catch is bought directly on the legendary Rialto market. The squid cappuccino and the pasta dish "Mezzi paccheri con crudo di pesce e crostaci" with raw fish and crustaceans certainly made our day. The deep fried fish "alla veneziana" was the finest we have ever had in the lagoon city. Individualists who wish to spend a memorable evening in the Serenissima could not do better than choosing this tradition-steeped restaurant. Closed on: Mondays

A box-seat to Saint Mark's Square!
If you haven't noticed before, browsing through the wine list will tell you for sure that you are on Saint Mark's Square. The wine is forbiddingly expensive.
