Individual ratings for Cima Rosa

Location
Cima Rosa is located directly next to the Canale Grande, and the nearest vaporetto stop, “San Stae,” is right around the corner. The building’s entranceway is well hidden. The gate bears no sign, and only a discreet door bell tells you that you have reached your destination. Once inside, you cross a picturesque inner courtyard on your way to the small palazzo.
Ambience
What makes “Cima Rosa” so popular with architects, creative minds and every other sort of guest is the refined interior design and the straightforward hospitality of Brittany and her staff.
Infrastructure
Large living rooms with open-plan kitchen and the garden in the inner courtyard.
Culinary
Lovingly presented breakfast. There is no restaurant in the building, but quite a number of them nearby.
Rooms
Two suites and three rooms are spread across two floors, all of them decorated with much attention to detail. Both suites and one room have a lovely view of the Canal Grande. Minimum stay: 2 nights.
Service
Brittany will pamper you with loving care and flair. She will gladly tell you about the art shows, restaurants and bars you should definitely not miss.

Cima Rosa Hotel, Venezia

Cima Rosa is one of those places where you feel at home as soon as you crossed the threshold. This charming Bed & Breakfast with just five rooms and suites offers an easy-going alternative to classic hotels. Working closely with his American-born wife Brittany Hymore, the Venetian architect Daniele Vallot renovated this 15th-century palazzo with a sure sense of style, restoring precious parquet floors and frescoes without glossing over charming signs of wear and tear. The rooms are decorated with an overwhelming sense for aesthetic propriety and a lavish attention to detail. The walls are whitewashed in design colours of green, grey and blue by Farrow & Ball, and create a harmonic kinship with the waters of the lagoon city. Particularly beautiful is the large living room with its open-plan kitchen and panoramic window that overlooks the Grand Canal.
Price range
The lush garden in the inner courtyard is not just a feast for the eye but also a special place to have your breakfast or generally to take it easy.
The day starts early at the Cima Rosa, because the Grand Canal is heavily frequented by boat traffic.
