Individual ratings for La Pineta

Location
The restaurant is located directly on the sandy beach of Marina di Bibbona.
Ambience
From the outside, the venue is an inconspicuous wooden shack, while inside elegantly laid tables await the guests.
Infrastructure

A dining room of rustic elegance, a small covered porch and a terrace by the sea (used only in the evening). You even have to park on the sand to reach the restaurant.

Culinary

Excellent seafood cuisine, awarded with a Michelin star. Fresh oysters are also available here in summer. Be sure to try: Squid risotto with sage and black truffles from the stone pine grove of Bibbona.

Wine List
Fascinating wine list with around 1,200 vintages and great Italian rarities. If you love white Burgundy, you ought to try the Chardonnay Collezione Privata von Isole e Olena. 2011 was a great year for this wine, on a level with the great Burgundy, or so we thought.
Service

The warmth of Andrea Zazzeri and the twins Giovanni and Roberto is contagious: There is a boisterous spirit on the beach.

La Pineta Restaurant, Marina di Bibbona

This story begins in 1964, when the Zazzeri family of fishermen decided to open a lido with restaurant. Luciano, the son of the family, still trained to become a fisherman before transferring into the kitchen. In 1996, he took over the simple beach kiosk "La Pineta" from his parents, and turned it into that for which it is known far beyond the Italian border today – the finest seafood restaurant in Tuscany. Today, his sons Andrea and Daniele carry on his legacy. Daniele Zazzeri knows better than anyone else how to serve a dish that truly tastes of the sea. All of his dishes are prepared from fresh catch, which ensures that the original taste remains intact. He would never experiment with flavours to doctor that taste. To this day, the family operates three fishing vessels. An uncle delivers fresh-caught fish and crustaceans directly to the kitchen every day. So it safe to say that the one thing the Zazzeris have in common is their love of the sea.

Closed on: Mondays (all day) and Tuesdays (lunch time)

It is like Italy in the 1960s. A charming mix of lido, fish vendor, and gourmet restaurant.
The restaurant is not easy to find, as it is located at the end of the gravel road that takes you through a stone pine forest down to the beach. Don't give up halfway there, it's well worth the ordeal.
