Individual ratings for Ora d'Aria

Location
In the heart of the historic town centre, just around the corner of the Uffizi, and only 100 metres from the Ponte Vecchio.
Ambience
A refreshingly modern contrast with its mirror wall and huge panoramic window is the stainless steel kitchen by Marco Stabile. Nothing distracts from the main business at hand, that of cooking.
Infrastructure
A small design restaurant on two levels: Main room on the ground floor with a view of the kitchen, five tables in the basement, and one tucked away in the wine cellar.
Culinary
Creative seasonal cuisines, awarded one Michelin star in 2011 and in the years since. Unforgettable: the candied tomatos with burrata, and the sophisticated cheeseburger with pear. The tiramisù was the fluffiest we ever had.
Wine List
Well appointed wine list, stocking 700 vintages, the focus being on small vineyards. An innovatively large beer menu.
Service
Friendly, attentive, and solicitous. The task of the service staff at "Ora d'Aria" is limited to fetching drinks and clearing the empty plates.

Ora d'Aria Restaurant, Firenze

Something of a sanctuary – remote from, and yet so close to, the tourist crowd. The "Ora d'Aria" – which translates into the "hour of air" – represents a modern design cocoon, and is a must for eccentric gourmets who fancy fresh breath of culinary air. An antique bird cage with its door flung wide open hints at the institution. The innovative cuisine of Marco Stabile will stimulate the taste buds, and will expand your horizon. The airy room, whitewashed in a light grey, overlooks the kitchen. On the tables next to yours, you may find well-to-do Florentinians and politicians, who appreciate the proximity to the Palazzo Vecchio. Rather attractive is the lunch menu, with every dish also available in tapa size for €8 each. Closed on: Sundays (all day) and Mondays (lunch time). They accept reservations by phone only.
Price range €€
In close touch with the kitchen staff. Here, the chefs are the ones bringing out the dishes so as to competently explain each creation. Chef Marco Stabile leaves the stage to his crew and will not emerge from the kitchen until the end of the event.
The tables in the basement are not suitable for those suffering from claustrophobia.
