Individual ratings for La Maison d'Uzès

Location
Located on a quiet side street in the heart of the pedestrian precinct. The town of Uzès is part of the region of Languedoc-Roussillon. As it is only 40 km from Avignon and largely preserved in its original state, the medieval town should definitely be part of your itinerary through the Provence.
Ambience
Historic grandeur and modern interior were brought into perfect harmony by local interior designer Marie-José Tavares.
Infrastructure
Gourmet restaurant "La Table d'Uzès" with a cosy patio in the inner courtyard, 3 parlours, a small spa (150 sqm) in the romantic vaulted basement, including steam room, relaxation pool (35 degrees centigrade) and three treatment rooms, valet parking.
Culinary
The lovingly prepared breakfast is served at the table. Creative French gourmet cuisine by Oscar Garcia, who was awarded a Michelin star in 2014. The "façon matelote," eggs poached in red wine, are an unforgettable treat.
Rooms
Each of the 9 rooms is one of a kind! "La Fenestrelle," "Les 3 Lucarnes," "Les Toits d'Uzès" and "Le Boudoir" – each room has a name and its very own personality. All of them are equipped with comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, and fancy gadgets such as mini iPads and high-end care products by "Comfort Zone" in regular retail-sized containers. Complimentary WiFi.
Service
Inspired by his heart and aesthetic sensibility, Arnaud Morandi saw to it that guests staying at his town palace feel well looked after rather than just waited on.

La Maison d'Uzès Hotel, Uzès

An elegant "home away from home" in an awesome palace from the 17th century. The listed former residence of the Chambon de La Tour family was painstakingly restored over a four-year period before it opened as a 5-star boutique hotel with just nine rooms and suites in the spring of 2013. Upon arrival, you have to ring the bell as if this was a private residence. Once admitted, you cross a small inner courtyard to get to the reception. The entire place has the feel of an authentic retreat that lets you leave the cares of your day-to-day life behind. The spacious as-new rooms that you access via the awesome staircase are decorated with a great love of detail. Hand-crafted solid-wood furniture, rare textiles, fancy bed linens, and coloured hand-blown pendant light fixtures by Bocci invest the room with contemporary grandeur. Perfect for anyone craving peace, intimacy, and charm without wanting to make do without luxury.
Price range €€
It is a place where holiday dreams come true – unique rooms with ancient walls and yet with present-day amenities, too, creative compositions by the youngest chef in France with a Michelin star, Oscar Garcia, and a cordial crew that (almost) knows your next craving just by looking at you.
An extended summer stay would be greatly enhanced by an outdoor pool. The hotel is aware of the need, though.
