Individual ratings for La Bastide Saint-Antoine
Located in a vast garden estate in the lower part of Grasse, the city of fragrances, extending over five hectares and including 1,500 olive trees.
Shabby chic meets no-nonsense modernism – never letting you forget, though, that you are in the Provence. There is a special touch to the restaurant's two dining rooms: while the "Camélia" room has a welcoming fireplace, the "Olivier Bas" room with its large panoramic windows commands a magnificent view of the groomed landscape.
Two dining rooms, library, patio, gift shop with Provençal souvenirs from the Chibois kitchen, boutique hotel with 5 genteel-rustic rooms and 7 modern suites, expansive garden including pool.
Simplicity is the epitome of finesse. Jacques Chibois currently bears the accolade of one Michelin star for his light and elegant fresh-market cuisine. Do not miss the "Homard bleu" or the "Foie gras." The 3-course lunch menu "Bastide" is priced at €63 during the week.
Comprehensive wine cellar with 1,600 vintages, largely consisting of regional wines from the Provence.
Jacques Chibois knows exactly how to head a starred restaurant, starting with the driveway to the restaurant, to the wine recommendations, all the way to the digestif. Virtually no request goes unmet even if it involved something as exotic as a birthday cake lettered in Chinese ideograms.
