Individual ratings for Les Haras
At the edge of the historic quarter "La Petite France." A great point of departure if you are out to explore the city.
The equestrian theme is reiterated throughout in dexterous modern ways. For instance, all of the rooms show a saddle leather theme.
Brasserie Les Haras, breakfast room with bar, and pretty inner courtyard complete with Lounge.
This is something Strasbourg has long waited for: a high-key brasserie that captures the spirit of our day and age. The designers installed a spectacular staircase to link the two main rooms. It is absolutely delightful to dine on the former hayloft, under the open rafters. In the show kitchen you get to watch chef François Baur and his entourage at work. French classics as well as Alsatian specialities are reinterpreted with a modern twist. The brasserie is headed by 3-star chef Marc Haeberlin.
55 as-new modern rooms are spread over four buildings, and are all done in earthy colours: beige, caramel, brown and grey. The interior decoration make heavy use of wood and leather, lending an irresistible nutty-musky scent to the rooms. All rooms feature tea kettles, mini-bars, high-end paraben-free care products in the bathrooms and complimentary WiFi.
Decidedly solicitous and empathetic to the guests' needs.

The lush inner courtyard with its majestic roughly 400-year-old Japanese pagoda tree (sophora japonica) is a sanctuary of tranquillity in the very heart of the city. If you like sleeping with the windows open, you should book a room overlooking the courtyard.
The mansard rooms in the historic buildings have very small roof windows and are rather gloomy.
