An accomplished mix of Bauhaus style, vintage chic, and Berlin industrial look, all of it done with a British twist.

All of the rooms feature parquet floor, large bathrooms with rain showers and marvellous gadgets and goodies, including a huge selection of trendy organic Cowshed cosmetics. Depending on the mood you're in, you may pick "wild cow", "grumpy cow" or "lazy cow." There is nothing amiss in the bathroom, as it stocks anything from toothbrush, to earplugs, and all the way to lip powder. Complimentary WiFi.
Service
Easy-going, casual and cool, and yet efficient. If you speak German, you will be addressed in the informal second person singular, because you are a member of the Soho House family for the duration of your stay.

Soho House Berlin Hotel, Berlin

This listed building designed in the late Bauhaus style looks back on a turbulent past: originally a Jewish-owned department store, it went on to become the headquarters of the Hitler Youth, then served as political head office of Communist East Germany, and eventually as central archive of East Germany's Communist Party. Disused for years after the reunification of the divided city, it has been home to the German branch of the successful British private club Soho House since May 2010. Nick Jones, the go-getting founder of Soho House, spent 30 million euros to convert the building. Exposed masonry and concrete uprights blend with furniture in vintage chic. Tassled chenille sofas, heavy brass lamps, old record players, alarm clocks, and phones with receivers and rotary dials lend a nostalgic charm to the rooms. Soho House Berlin has a character very much its own, and has become the meeting point for club members from the creative set and the media industry. Guests checking into this hotel become members pro tem, and pledge to uphold the unconventional house rules, which include a ban on ties and photography.
Price range €€
Far off the global hotel standards. Creativity is palpable in the trendy Private Member Club Lounge on the seventh floor and the rooftop terrace with its panoramic view of downtown Berlin.
The spa is located in the basement and gets no sunlight. The treatment rooms are relatively small.
