Individual ratings for Das Stue

Location
This is a tranquil location in the diplomatic quarter, right by the parklands of Tiergarten, and with a unique view of the famous Berlin Zoo.
Ambience
The accomplished interaction between the historic façade and the modern interior is the work of the Spanish star designer Patricia Urquiola. The choice selection of furniture of extraordinary design, together with the droll, handmade leather rhinoceroses, buffaloes and hippos, creates a warm atmosphere, making this place a true retreat charmingly linked to the Berlin Zoo.
Infrastructure
2 restaurants, a bar lounge, and a small spa on 260\_sqm including an indoor swimming pool, a sauna, 3 massage rooms, and a gym.
Culinary
Responsible for the culinary delights in either restaurant is Chef Paco Pérez from Catalonia, owner of the renowned "Miramar" restaurant in Llançà. His "5 (Cinco) by Paco Pérez" gourmet restaurant, distinguished by one Michelin star, offers a 25-course Mediterranean dinner. For tapas variations, try the "The Casual."
Rooms
78 new rooms and suites, brightly lit by natural light, provide an impressive view either of the zoo (from the new building) or of the adjacent Tiergarten (from the historic building). All rooms are equipped with an Apple HD-entertainment system, which includes complimentary internet access and a flat-screen TV. The hotel's centrepiece are the suites on the Bel Etage of the historic main building with ceilings 5 metres high.
Service
Marked by silent perfection. The young team performs in a solicitous and extremely guest-focused manner.

Das Stue Hotel, Berlin

Opened in December 2012, the boutique hotel "Das Stue" is located in the building of the former Danish embassy. "Stue" is the Danish word for living room, and the hotel presents itself as a kind of lounge room, perhaps in response to an unconfessed desire for an urban retreat in the heart of Berlin. The unique view of the zoo with its animal enclosures was integrated into the design of the Hotel "Das Stue" as a key element. The artwork on display at the hotel makes the same association. The first artefact you face when entering is an oversized crocodile sculpture in the lobby, created by the Parisian artist Quentin Garel. As you proceed through the rooms, you will encounter small leather rhinoceroses, buffaloes and hippos created by Omersa. "Das Stue" is a place designed with an impeccable stylistic sensibility that combines the spirit of the historic Berlin with international finesse.
