Right on the beach, located on the eponymous bay.

Ambience

Wooden tables decked out in white sit right on the sand, while you rest on comfortable rattan chairs and enjoy the sun shining onto your face, happy that you managed to get hold of one of the most popular tables in the first row, at the island's best seafood restaurant. The "Es Torrent" is a very lively place with lots of authentic patina.

Infrastructure

Beach hut turned restaurant with large patio. Inside, a modern kitchen, several tanks with king prawns, crawfish and lobsters of all sizes. Deck chairs may be rented in front of the restaurant. Parking lot behind the restaurant.

Culinary

All the island's classics are on the menu: Paella, crawfish and all kinds of fish dishes. We love the warm squid carpaccio (tender as butter!) and the fresh-caught sea bass in a salt crust, served with home-made crisp potato chips. Be sure to leave some space for the heavenly "Tarta de limón" – a fluffy cheesecake with a touch of citrus served with candied lemon.

Wine List

Well-appointed wine list with a good selection of champagne and white wines. Focus on Spanish and French vintages.

Service

Brisk and friendly. Even though his restaurant is always packed, host Xicu Sala and his well-rehearsed team never lose track of things, and orders are always taken as if time was of no consequence.

A lovely and authentic place serving an exquisite seafood cuisine. The staff will ask what you would like to eat when you book your table. If you fancy "Lubina a la Sal" – sea bass in a salt crust – or fresh catch according to your taste, it would be best to reserve one of the coveted spots in the oven. If you cannot make up your mind, ask for a place "a la plancha" as there is plenty of space on the barbecue, leaving room for spontaneous decisions. While your fish is sizzling away, why not go for a quick dip in the water and swim a few laps in the sea? Simply terrific! Open daily during the summer season.

Those who wish to book one of the immensely popular six tables in the first row during the summer season should do so well in advance.
