Individual ratings for Rössli

Location
The Rössli is located within the maze of narrow streets and alleyways that characterises the Niederdorf quarter in Zurich's historic town centre. From here, it is just a two-minute walk to the central Bellevue square and the lakefront. Also within easy walking distance are the Stadelhofen railway station, the opera house and Bahnhofstrasse, Zurich's prime high-street pitch.
Ambience
The Rössli is a colourful, feel-good gem that will make you feel instantly at home.
Infrastructure
The restaurant "Il Gattopardo" and the legendary Rössli Bar.
Culinary
A rich breakfast buffet in the morning and excellent Italian cuisine at night at "Il Gattopardo."
Rooms
The hotel's 27 rooms spread across two buildings, and were all carefully redecorated in the summer of 2014 in a casual-chic style,. We prefer the rooms in the historic main building. All rooms feature splendid beds with box spring mattresses, mosaic bathrooms, colourful highlights, and a lavish love for detail. Bathrooms are stocked with high-end care products by Kiehl's. Complimentary WiFi.
Service
Easy-going, casual, cordial and competent.

Rössli Hotel, Zürich

Zurich's Rössli hotel has made a big leap forward! Hostess Anina Hugi subject the listed house on Rössligasse 7 as well as the modern building across the street to a comprehensive, careful refurbishment in summer 2014 that has lent new charm to the entire place. A serene colour scheme, subtle furniture, walls hung in modern art, and a little wooden horse in every room (as Rössli translates into "little horse") signal to the sophisticated guest that interior design is taken very seriously at the Rössli. The beds come with cosy box spring mattresses, if necessary done up in non-allergenic bed linens. In addition to being a sought and affordable accommodation, the Rössli is also popular because of its cosy Rössli Bar and its fine-dining restaurant "Il Gattopardo." Indeed, both are insider tips among locals.
Price range
The private rooftop patio commands a breathtaking view of the lake across the city's rooftops. Our favourite treat is to have Enzo bring us a plate of "Mafiosi" spaghetti up here. A place you will keep coming back to.
No private parking since the hotel is located in the pedestrian precinct. "Opéra" is the closest car park, right next to the Bellevue, charging CHF 35.00 per day.
