Location
Located in the Hürlimann neighbourhood of Zürich, slightly removed from the busy cosmopolitan city centre, though directly next to Google and other top dogs.
Ambience
Its historic architecture was carefully arranged for effect by combining it with exciting state-of-the-art design. The rooms are comfy, and the bathrooms have an open layout.
Infrastructure
Annexed to the hotel is the highly recommended "Thermal Baths & Spa Zurich," with privileged and discounted access granted to hotel patrons (Tuesday is women's day). Outdoor pool on the rooftop.
Culinary
Aside from the richly varied breakfast buffet, the Wine Library serves simple delicious snacks.
Rooms
51 rooms and one junior suite in the mash house, as well as eight split-level suites in the former wort whirlpool of the historic brewery building.
Service
The official tourism website of Switzerland rated it one of the "friendliest city hotels in Switzerland" – justifiably so.

B2 Boutique Hotel + Spa Hotel, Zürich

In early 2012, the "B2" boutique hotel opened on the premises of a former brewery 130 years old, its claim to fame being a lavish spa and an amazing outdoor pool on the rooftop. Great care was taken to preserve the industrial character of the mash house and the refrigeration plant, as well as of the listed machine room. The result is a sound balance between urbanity and cosiness. Style-sensitive Zurich buffs and spa tourists looking for a lush experience will feel equally at home here. At the heart of the complex you will find the so-called "Library" with ceilings 11 metres tall from which chandeliers made of old drying racks with countless beer bottles are suspended. The impressive ensemble is complemented by large arched windows from the 19th century and floor-to-ceiling book shelves stocked with 30,000 volumes from a former second-hand book store in Zurich. You will find this an intimate hotel with reasonable rates.

Downtown Zurich and the scenic alpine panorama are a marvellous backdrop for the modern outdoor bath on the rooftop with its heated outdoor pool. Following wild flights of fancy on the rooftop, you will be quickly restored to your inner self in the quasi-ecclesiastical ambience of the impressive spa area in the former keg filler plant of the Hürlimann brewery.
The pool is heated even in mid-summer.
