Individual ratings for Le Gitan

Location
In the village centre, in the pedestrian zone
Ambience
A maze-like den, a little Hungarian gipsy flair blended with a dash of modern design – but above all that, an easygoing, cosy atmosphere.
Infrastructure
The maze-like restaurant "Le Gitan," rustic "Zermatterstuebli" dining room, and bar.
Culinary
Delicious charcoal-grilled meat dishes. We are always thrilled by the "Brochette" kebab Zingara style, which is served with gratinated potatoes, and just love the warm chocolate cake with the fudge-like core.
Wine List
The well-appointed wine list focuses on native and European grapes.
Service
Run by Barbara and Sacha Darioli with excellence and passion.

Le Gitan Restaurant, Zermatt

A visit at the "Le Gitan" (French for "The Gipsy") grill is always a great experience. Here, you are unobtrusively, still warmly cared for, and the food is delicious. Tender chunks of meat are grilled over a large fireplace, and, at this point at the latest, the fine scent of firewood and meat is sure to give you an appetite. A must for all meat lovers and those who hunt for authentic restaurants. During the cold season and especially on weekends, we recommend booking a table in advance. Opening hours: daily during the winter season.
Price range €€
Time and again, the good quality of the dishes has made us come back. The tender chunks of meat are served with excellent gratinated potatoes. We could actually live on just that! A must for all meat lovers and those who hunt for authentic restaurants.
The interior decoration is unspectacular. It could not hurt to brush things up a little and add a dash of style.
