Individual ratings for Coeur des Alpes
The "Coeur des Alpes" is spectacularly perched on the sunny hillside above Zermatt. The hotel lobby is connected to Zermatt's Oberdorfstrasse by a glass elevator whose shaft was cut through sheer rock.
Architect Heinz Julen's avantgarde alpine chic goes hand in glove with Leni and Thomas Muller-Julen's warm hospitality, a veritable "coup de coeur"!
A lobby with fireplace, a sun terrace with lounge and outdoor jacuzzi, a small spa (1,000 sqm) with adventure pool, hamam, sauna, caldarium, gym, and massage room.
There is no restaurant at the hotel. A tantalising breakfast buffet as well as an assortment of snacks such as cheese and dried meat slices in the lobby.
7 bespoke rooms and 7 suites with large windows in the main building as well as 7 large, sun-lit lofts in the new building (completed in 2008). All suites and lofts comes with balconies and a lovely view of the Matterhorn.
Charming, warm and caring.

The view of the Matterhorn, lovingly called "Horu" by the locals, is quite spectacular. You are practically sharing your bed with Horu!
The "Coeur des Alpes" is a victim of its very own success and tends to be fully booked for weeks on end.
