Individual ratings for Cervo Mountain Resort
3 restaurants, sun decks with a view of the Matterhorn, climbing wall, a small spa with an outdoor infinity pool, a steam room, a Finnish sauna, a Bhutanese bath, treatment rooms and a ritual room where sound meditations and yoga sessions are regularly scheduled.
3 restaurants – modern dishes and sophisticated Italian classics at the “Madre Nostra”, vegetarian cuisine inspired by the Orient at the “Bazaar”, and fine Valais specialities at the “Ferdinand".
54 cosy as-new rooms and spacious suites, spread across 7 lodges. All of the rooms are equipped with high-end box spring beds by Hästens, and feature either a balcony or patio with (frontal or lateral) view of the Matterhorn. The rooms and suites of the “Alpinist” and “Huntsman” lodges are classy retreats (5-star houses), and feature a private bar each, stocked with original Swiss products. The rooms at the “Nomad” lodge (4-star hotel) have flexible layouts, and represent the optimal base camp for families with children and for true explorers.
Cheerful, warm, and competent. Even first-time visitors are made to feel as welcome as often-returning regulars.
Cervo Mountain Resort Hotel, Zermatt
The local hero among the exceptional hotels beneath the Matterhorn. Seven lodges next to the slopes combine a modern alpine style with dazzling interior design to form a charming whole. Massive wooden beams, stag antlers, warm colours, rare materials, chequered fabrics, and a lavish attention to detail create a cosy atmosphere that further enhances the lodge feeling. Even for demanding guests, there will never be a dull moment here: Options include good times by the side of the crackling hearth in the Moroccan setting of the “Bazaar”, with the play list of Berlin-based DJ Joel Isaak Black playing in the background. Or treat yourself to a singing bowl session at the new spa – a marvellous way to settle down.
