Individual ratings for Backstage Hotel Vernissage
In the centre of Zermatt, opposite the skating rink and tennis courts. Both the Gornergrat electric railway station and the Sunnega railway station are just a 5-minute walk away.
Urban coolness meets extravagance, the purist art of cooking and the very soul of the Valais.
The fine-dining Restaurant "After Seven," a cinema, the lounge/bar "Vernissage," a terrace and small in-and-outdoor themed spa decorated with scenes from Genesis.
During the winter season, star chef Ivo Adam heads the team of the hotel's fine-dining Restaurant "After Seven." There is no menu but simply one surprise dinner, and guests' choices are limited to a small or a large plate. The best table is no. 1, in the corner close to the wine rack.
The 12 fashionably designed rooms and the 6 extravagant "Cube Lofts" are inhabitable works of art, each offering a one-off experience.
Non-chalant without being tardy. Evelyne and Heinz Julen are fully devoted to the well-being of their guests.

Daring to be different, local artist and owner Heinz Julen successfully combined steel, concrete and glass into an accomplished whole. Guests at the hotel discover the kind of urban flair which design hotels in major Swiss cities frequently attempt but hardly ever accomplish.
The bathrooms are rather small!
