Individual ratings for Grand Hotel Kronenhof

Location
In the middle of the village of Pontresina, with a wonderful view into the Val Roseg and only 6 km from St. Moritz.
Ambience
Accomplished symbiosis between old and new: Original ceiling paintings in the neo-baroque dining hall by Otto Haberer meet the vast expanse of the glass front of the spa in its purist modern design.
Infrastructure
Inviting, light-flooded spa on 2,000 sqm, including panorama indoor pool, sauna area, spa suite for private wellness activities, children's pool, gym, 3 restaurants, bar lounge, bowling alley, pool table, and private skating rink in the wintertime.
Culinary
Half-board at the neo-baroque "Grand Restaurant," rustic fare at "Le Pavillon," and mediterranean cuisine at the gourmet restaurant "Kronenstübli".
Rooms
112 comfortable yet varied rooms and suites, many of them decorated in the style of patrician houses in the Engadin. We have come to favour the rooms that were newly refurbished in 2011.
Service
Once you have stayed here, you will never forget the hotel. Its staff seeks to satisfy each and every request that a guest may have, and indeed to satisfy them again unprompted during the guest's next stay.

Grand Hotel Kronenhof Hotel, Pontresina

The Grande Dame of Engadin hospitality – since 1848. The 5-star superior hotel Grand Hotel Kronenhof in Pontresina counts among the architecturally most important alpine hotels of the 19th century. Since it reopened in December 2007, the hotel has accommodated state-of-the-art vacationing by offering Kronenhof Spa – one of the most impressive wellness venues in the Swiss Alpes – and a new flight of rooms. Doing laps in the panoramic pool and taking in the meditative view down into Val Roseg and the surrounding woods of Swiss pine and larch will cause you to lose track of time and your secular cares. Ideal for modern big city dwellers and hedonists who prefer to steer clear of the hype surrounding St. Moritz but love the town's ski resorts.
Price range €€€
This, the Grande Dame of Engadin hospitality, will surprise you with hidden nooks and crannies. Private dinner at the "Gredig Stübli" – a dining room in genuinely local style – will literally bring you in touch with the way people used to live in the Engadin.
To do justice to the house and its tradition, a dress code is enforced, a dinner jacket being mandatory for men.
