Location

Prime lakefront location, just a 5-minute walk from the central railway station and the high-street district.

Ambience

Classic elegance that does not seem dated. The stunning floral arrangements have been a signature features of the Four Seasons Group for years.

The "Hotel des Bergues" looks back on a time-honoured tradition as a neo-classical landmark of Geneva's luxury hospitality since 1834. Completely overhauled in 2005, the house now reflects the spirit of the 19th century with classic French furniture in the style of Louis XVI and Louis Philippe. Concierge and reception are off to the side. The place gives you the feeling of entering a private palace, and the notion will remain with you throughout your stay. Upon arrival, your will be welcomed by a personal assistant and guided through the rooms, decorated with a great love for detail. The interior is true to style and welcoming, and your bed is so comfortable that it makes you want to take it home. Top Flop

Unmatched by any other place in Geneva: having a view of the lake and quiet nights at the same time. One section of the road is owned outright by the hotel, and is closed to motor vehicles at night. As a result, even the rooms with direct view of Lake Geneva are nice and quiet.

Aspirational travellers should compose to-do lists for their personal assistants (PA) prior to their trip, and should make them as complicated and long as possible – otherwise the PA will be through with the list in no time at all.
