Located in a sprawling garden estate on the island of Guidecca, south of the historic town centre, and only a four-minute boat ride from Saint Mark's Square, easily done with the free shuttle service any time of day.
Ambience
This place is not about flaunting luxury. The Cipriani becomes an elegant set for Hollywood celebs during the film festival, and is favoured by well-to-do travellers year round.
Infrastructure
3 restaurants, 2 bars, a small spa including sauna, a steam room and treatment rooms, a daylight gym, a kids' club, an expansive garden complex including tennis court, and heated sea water lido.
Culinary
Outstanding breakfast buffet, with à la carte offers of hot food also available and included in the price of breakfast. Innovatively interpreted Italian classics by Davide Bisetto in the freshly renovated restaurant "Oro," light lunch fare at the poolside restaurant "Porticciolo", and Mediterranean cuisine at "Cip's Club."
Rooms
95 elegant rooms and suites in Venetian style are spread across the main buildings and the annex "Palazzo Vendramin." Most rooms have been renovated recently. All of them come with lavish marble bathrooms that are stocked with Bulgari body care products. Complimentary WiFi.
Service

If this is your first time, you will be overwhelmed by the sprawling garden estate. Water sport enthusiasts will skip a beat when beholding the Olympic-size outdoor pool. But what makes the Cipriani truly unique are the genial people you meet here, and their honest hospitality. They account for the soulfulness of the place. Just by looking at you, the staff can tell what you will crave next. Whether it be a water bicycle workout or an exploratory kayaking trip through the canals of Venice – whatever kit you need is always on hand. If you prefer to take it easy, just take a spot on the waterfront patio of "Cip's Club" and enjoy the view of the Piazza San Marco – while remaining safely out of reach of the tourist crowd. In the evening, you sit back, listen to the piano chords, and let chief bartender Walter Bolzonella mix you a "Buona notte," a drink he created together with George Clooney, who is a regular guest here. Working your way through the second one, you will be read to make a wise decision and extend your stay at the Cipriani.
