This is a detached building on the "Tenuta Gardini" country estate with an enchanting view of the old tower – picture-postcard Tuscany. Only 8\_km from the world-renowned wine village of Bolgheri, home of the "Super Tuscans."
Ambience
Posh Tuscan country cottage presenting itself in trendy shabby-chic. The aesthetic centrepiece of it all is the elegant parlour in the main building with its big fireplace, welcoming sofas, and heavy crystal chandeliers. While this is a refreshingly cool place during the summer months, a crackling fire in the hearth will warm you come fall.

Garden with beautiful pool (8\_x\_20\_m), 2 jacuzzi and cosy hideaways, large parlour with fireplace, massage room, and free mountain bikes.
Culinary
Excellent breakfast buffet with home-made jams, Bircher muesli, and a wide variety of bread, ham, and egg dishes. Dialy sumptuous multi-course dinners are served. Be sure to try them!
Rooms
16 cosy rooms, some of them small, and two generous suites in contemporary country cottage style, spread across the two buildings "Padronale" and "Fattoria." Most rooms in the "Fattoria" annex come with a private garden terrace or loggia. Free wifi.

The Tuscan country cottage of your dreams! Siblings Manoli and Moira Rossi Ciampolini converted the family's vacant country estate "Tenuta Gardini" into a charming hide-away. Behind historic stone walls, guests will find elegantly decorated rooms featuring ancient ceiling beams, refurbished family heirlooms, pompous chandeliers, linen sofas in subtle grey, and quaint accessories. Genteel French bedspreads, half-canopy beds and beautiful curtains introduce a Provençal flair to Tuscany. The stylistic finesse is the work of interior decorator Mariquita Papi, who runs a shop for interior design at Bolgheri, not far from the Relais Sant' Elena. Having been charmed by the rooms, you will fall for the garden, too, with its lovely pool. The family estate extends over 580 hectares of olive groves, grain fields, pastures and maquis shrubland – far as the eye can see. Tuscany as idyllic as it gets! Children aged 11 and over are welcome.
Price range €
One of the most exquisite breakfast buffets found in Tuscany in terms of presentation, product quality, and variety, leaving nothing to be desired. The delicious egg dishes and the home-made jams are almost addictive!
Certain rooms have very thin walls. Despite the quiet location, you may find noisy neighbours annoying. The quietest rooms are those on the upper floor of the "Fattoria" annex.
