Set within a well-groomed garden estate, quiet, but only a short walk from the beach and the exclusive high-street venue "Via Carducci."
Ambience
Bright oak parquetry, vast window fronts, cream-coloured designer furniture, black four-poster beds and a mess of pillows create an fine balance between cool and cosy.

Culinary
Tuscan cuisine, reinterpreted with a modern twist, at the "Lux Lucis" fine dining restaurant, light dishes at the pool bar, and good seafood at the "Dalmazia" beach restaurant.

Principe Forte dei Marmi Hotel, Forte dei Marmi

The superior design is by Cologne-based architect Klaus Müller: The new unorthodox building, set among huge stone pines, represents a cube – straightforward, simple, no frills. Inside, tall ceilings, lots of glass, and minimalist furnishings inspire a feeling of airiness and wide-open space. The elegant, modern design blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape, abducting the guest into a perfect "total work of art." Opened in 2010, the 5-star boutique hotel sits in an enviable location: quiet, one row removed from the beach, with the hotel's own "Dalmazia" beach club as well as the pedestrian zone and its high-end shops within walking distance. Leave your car behind, and take advantage of the hotel's bike rental to go exploring. A lifestyle destination for design aficionados.
Price range €€€
Our favourite place to sit is the classy lounge on the rooftop patio. From here, you have a fantastic view of the deep blue sea and the snow-covered mountain tops of the Alpi Apuane.
The rooms of the lowest category, "Talamo," overlook an old neighbouring building and the unappealing courtyard.
