Il Palazzetto Hotel, Roma

Looking for a charming combination of top infrastructure, a Grand Hotel of global renown (we have the Hassler Roma in mind), and the plain cosiness of a bed & breakfast? If so, Il Palazzetto is just the right place for you. Actually a small 15th-century Palazzo, it was bought in 1999 by Roberto E. Wirth, President and Managing Director of the legendary Hassler Roma, with the intention to set up another venue in the Hassler tradition. The name says it all: Il Palazzetto is a small Palazzo, inconspicuous from the outside, but perfectly regal inside with its impressive spiral staircase, which takes you up to the four guest rooms and the unique rooftop patio. Staying here means being at the centre of things. One of Rome's landmarks, the Spanish Steps, is literally within earshot of the hotel as you can hear buskers singing and their audience applauding, wedding parties cheering, and the general hubbub of crowded tourist places.
Price range
Unique location! If having the Spanish Steps right in your room sounds like a great idea to you, look no further.
The hotel entrance is right next to the metro station. Due to the heavy footfall, the place may look a bit trashed out at times.
