Individual ratings for Mimmo Milano
Situated in a quiet cul-de-sac, behind the "Porta Venezia."
Whitewashed wood meets fancy crystal chandeliers, complemented by linen-covered chairs and tables laid in grey and white. There is a striking love of detail you notice as soon as you enter the venue. Things like the fire crackling in the hearth, and the irresistible good cheer of the staff.
The loft-like restaurant with its shabby-chic interior extends from the first floor's main room to the gallery on the upper floor. The whitewashed wooden tables are set with grey place mats. During the warm season, five small tables are set out on the balcony to tempt you.
Straightforward Mediterranean market cuisine, fixed with fresh herbs. We loved everything we saw, from the delicious bread basket filled with freshly baked focaccia bread as a starter, to the aromatic burrata and the "Melanzane alla parmigiana" (eggplant lasagne), and all the way to the crème brûlée (of perfectly creamy texture).
The short wine list focuses on Italian grapes.
Pleasantly easy-going, high level of expertise, friendly.
