Individual ratings for Palazzo Vecchietti

Location
You will not find a more central place to stay anywhere in Florence! In the heart of the Renaissance district of "San Giovanni," with the "Piazza della Repubblica" and the exclusive flagship stores right around the corner. The hotel is located above the posh boutique of "Dolce & Gabbana."
Ambience
"Dimora d'Epoca," which does live up to its name. On the upper floors of the small palace, you will find charming rooms and suites with a love for aesthetic detail and present-day interior, that bears the handwriting of renowned interior designer Michele Bönan.
Infrastructure
Small lobby with fireplace and library, and a breakfast room with the character of a private dining room.
Culinary
Well-appointed breakfast buffet, served on a large oval table – as it would in the dining room of family friends. There is no restaurant at the hotel.
Rooms
14 elegant as-new rooms and apartments, all of them with parquet flooring, kitchenettes, Nespresso coffee makers, cosy seating nooks, and dining tables. The rooms are located on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the historical palace, and overlook the street, where traffic is limited to local residents, or the inner courtyard.
Service
Friendly, and eager to help.

Palazzo Vecchietti Hotel, Firenze

An elegant "home away from home" in a historic palace from the 15th century. Upon arrival, you get to ring the bell as if this was a private residence. Next, you walk down a long corridor along a stone wall that will take you to a loft-like lobby with an enormous fireplace. Having left the busy bustle of downtown Florence behind, you enter a place that feels like an intimate retreat. The spacious, as-new rooms that you access via the amazing staircase are decorated in bold hues of blue, red, and aubergine. If you appreciate superior Florentinian design, you will love the Palazzo Vecchietti; rare fabrics and living accessories, comfortable bed, and each room with a kitchenette or separate kitchen. The perfect place for an extended stay in this Renaissance city.
Price range €€
We love the quaint rooms with their many amenities, including a walk-in dressing rooms, kitchenettes with Nespresso coffee makers, cosy corners with fancy coffee-table books on the club table, and a storm lamp – the one thing left for you to do is light the candle.
Since life in the city can be noisy even at night, this is not a good place for light sleepers.
