Aurora Restaurant, Capri
For around 100 years or three generations, the D'Alessio family has run the "Aurora" restaurant in a narrow lane in the historic town centre of Capri. While being the oldest restaurant on the island, it has kept up with the times. The modest interior of the restaurant with its black bistro chairs, white leather benches, and elegant white tablecloth remains a hotspot on the island now as then. Cutting a good figure is of the essence at this popular restaurant. Tanned gentlemen flaunt their aviator watches while ladies in staggering stiletto heels sashay to their tables to enjoy the kitchen crew's modern interpretations of the "Cucina Caprese." Each of the three groups know their part and play it well. Open daily during lunch and dinner hours.
