The hotel is located in the centre of the theatre district, in the direct proximity of the National Gallery, a number of museums and Trafalgar Square.

Ambience

Glamorous, funky and colourful – these are the terms that best capture the Haymarket Hotel. Like any other hotel of the Firmdale Group, it has the unmistakeable handwriting of Kit Kemp all over it.

The Haymarket Hotel is located inside the listed landmark building by John Nash close to Piccadilly Circus, and is owned by Firmdale Hotels, a group that currently operates eight boutique hotels in London. If you appreciate being close to the theatre district, and set high standards in terms of design and infrastructure, you will feel right at home at the Haymarket Hotel. The lobby area welcomes you with a shiny sculpture by Tony Gragg. All of the rooms are decorated in the fresh and colourful "Contemporary English" style and bear the handwriting of English designer and co-owner Kit Kemp. Each room has its distinct colour scheme: The lobby is themed by the signal colours yellow and red, while the conservatory presents itself in pistachio green and the library in blue and pink. You will surely find the perfect place and room to suit your mood somewhere in the building.

Generous in-house swimming pool! After a few laps in the 18-metre pool (facing a light installation by Martin Richman) you are ready to resume your forays into the city.

The enormous lobby takes some time getting used to, and seems chilly and anonymous at first glance.
