Le Jardin du Quai Restaurant, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue

L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue is a picturesque town, and a hot spot for antiques in the Provence. After the Sunday outing to the antique market, "tout le monde" flocks to Daniel Hébet's. Hidden across from the shed "Le Village du Antiquaires de la Gare" you will find the entrance to "Le Jardin du Quai" which you enter via the romantic garden. Here, you dine beneath ancient chestnut trees, sheltered by rose bushes and wisteria, or in the dining room painted sage-green. A richly ornamented pendulum clock sits on the mantelpiece. But with or without clock, you will lose all sense of time in this place. The light fresh-market cuisine of Daniel Hébet is paced by the seasons. Rather than an à-la-carte spread, you will get a different high-end 3-course menu every day for a price of €40.00. The perfect place for anyone for those who fancy a boisterous market atmosphere rather than those out for a haul of treasures with authentic patina to decorate their holiday cottage. Closed on: Tuesdays and Wednesdays
Price range €€
The enchanted labyrinthine garden with its old-growth trees, wisteria bushes and cosy nooks, is a real eye catcher.
The restaurant has become a victim of its own success, and is filled to capacity on Sundays.
