Le Burgundy Hotel, Paris

Le Burgundy is an elegant, discrete 5-star boutique hotel in a prime location in the 1st Arrondissement. It is a highly tasteful place to stay for the modern traveller that dispenses with exaggerated luxury and undue formality, instead favouring plenty of lifestyle, bespoke service, and a fair value-for-money ratio. This "hotel bijou" (opened in 2010) is done true to contemporary aesthetics. The as-new rooms invite your to stay and linger, and the staff is remarkably friendly, indeed so much so that it makes you wonder why the staff in many of the hotels of the same category (but more pricy) can be so sullen and arrogant.
Price range €€€
All rooms are regularly repainted, making you feel as if you were the first guest to get to stay in a given room.
The minute rooms of the lowest category are definitely not meant for travellers with big suitcases and demands.
