Individual ratings for Restaurant de Bacon

Along the coastal highway, directly across from the historic town centre of Antibes and "Baie des Anges" (literally "Angel Bay").
Coming here is like a time warp, as you return to the cultivated ambience and hospitality of another day and age.
Elegantly set tables, with underplates bearing the name "Bacon," and blown coloured glass fish make for an inviting scene. Beautiful patio with sea view.
Classic seafood, awarded with a Michelin star. Be sure to try the exquisite saffron-spiced bouillabaisse, and the langoustine ravioli. Either dish is divine, bordering on the addictive.
Wine List
Classic French wine list with a focus on the great wine regions of Bordeaux, Burgundy, and the Champagne.
The team of waiters have worked here for many years, and takes excellent care of the guests under the tutelage of hostess Eve Sordello. Even first-time visitors get the feeling to be a close family friend rather than a guest and stranger.

Restaurant de Bacon Restaurant, Antibes

What makes the "Bacon" so unique? For one thing, the proprietor's striking resemblance to Pablo Picasso, and secondly the fascinating history of the place. Opened in 1948 as a small beach kiosk selling sandwiches, beer and sodas, it quickly developed into a culinary gathering point of the French as well as of the international café society. 1985 marked the first year it was awarded a star in the Guide Michelin. A classic venue of long-standing tradition, and currently owned by the Sordello family, the restaurant is renowned for its seafood. Great for those who want to experience South of France of the 1950s and 1960s, or who simply miss the gold old days. Closed on: Mondays (all day) and Tuesdays (lunch time)

The place serves the finest bouillabaisse anywhere along the Côte d'Azur!
Not for design aficionados! Despite the facelift, the restaurant radiates the faded charm of the 1950s.
