Individual ratings for Le Club 55
Directly on the five kilometre long beach of Pampelonne, between reeds, pines and the sea.
This may well be the most famous beach restaurant in the world, where stars and starlet love to present themselves. White-washed tables and chairs sit beneath a large roof made of raffia mats, decked in bright blue table cloth, and set with shell- and starfish-painted plates. The interior decoration and the service are unpretentious, in stark contrast with the discriminating clientele.
Proprietary pier, beach club, bar, restaurant with a sprawling patio, beach boutique, and secure parking lot.
Simple, honest, Mediterranean cuisine using produce from the restaurant's own organic farm. Start your lunch in style with a "panier de crudités" – crisp raw vegetables spread lavishly on a wooden board and served with an anchovy dip. Move on to grilled fish or crawfish served with ratatouille.
The well-appointed wine menu lists a fine selection of champagnes and rosé wines. One of the rosé wines is called "Le Club 55" and made from grapes Patrice de Colmont grows on his organic farm.
Relaxed and unpretentious.

The place seems to be miraculously frozen in time. No other beach club along the Plage de Pampelonne does a better job at keeping the myth of Saint-Tropez alive.
There is no point in coming here without a reservation. Table reservations are only possible over the phone. During the high season it is always a good idea to book a table two weeks in advance.
