Idyllic, right next to the prestigious vineyard of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte and a mere 20 km away from Bordeaux and the city's airport.

The "La Grand Vigne" gourmet restaurant, commended by two Michelin stars, and the bistro-type restaurant "La Table du Lavoir" both use natural ingredients, prepared with great care and plenty of imagination.
The 40 tasteful rooms and 21 lovingly decorated suites are spread across 8 buildings: Each building picks up one of the well-known aspect of the Aquitaine region, with themes ranging from famous vineyards to the Bay of Archachon, to local crafts. The new suites, which rest on pilings, are inspired by the fishermen's cottages on the Cape Ferret peninsula nearby.

This luxurious spa resort of village character is located right next to the vineyards of the Château Smith Haut Lafitte. Architect Yves Collet drew his inspiration from fishermen's cottages on the Cap Ferret peninsula on the nearby Atlantic coast, making copious use of antique wood and limiting himself to natural materials. The best way to explore the sprawling estate, the surrounding vineyards and the picturesque landscape with grape vines extending far as the eye can see is probably by riding one of the hotel's bicycles. Wine is the underlying theme everywhere you go, even in the spa area. It is a great place for slowing down – by submitting to the famous vinotherapy of the hotel's own Caudalie brand of cosmetics. The skin-toning effect of grape seeds (rich in polyphenols and resveratrol) in combination with warm spring water extracted from a depth of 540 metres will boost your skin, and their rejuvenating effect on your skin cells borders on the miraculous. Whilst enjoying a wine compress or a bath in a wine tub you may as well treat yourself to a glass of the Smith Haut Lafitte's house wine. After all, red wine in itself is rich in antioxidants.
