Taking a break from your day-to-day reality and finding yourself

High time to close the book on wining, dining and wintertime frolics. With springtime approaching, we crave lightness and renewal, activity and wellbeing. The Pillow & Pepper Mountain Yoga Retreat at The Alpina Gstaad will give you the perfect opportunity to leave your day-to-day cares behind, to breathe freely, and to get your energy back. You will be very active, eat fine and healthy food, laugh a lot, and in the process refresh your body, soul and spirit. Take some time out to take proper care of yourself for a change!

Time out for you – Mountain Yoga Retreat in Gstaad, 14 through 17 June, 2018

Intense yoga, balancing pranayama, silent meditation, along with spa treatments, plenty of idle time, excellent food, and communal time spent in a wonderful group – all of these will give you ample opportunity to treat yourself to a good time. Our teacher Umesh Tejasvi knows how to directly interlink Ayurvedic philosophy, yoga and everyday life.

Umesh Tejasvi is a native of Bangalore in Southern India. After studying Ayurvedic medicine, he moved to Europe. Here, he deepened his experience as instructor and yoga teacher. Today, Umesh Tejasvi runs an Ayurveda centre in Zurich together with his team of experts. He is the author of a book on Ayurvedic nutritional principles.

For Umesh Tejasvi, leading a holistically healthy lifestyle goes far beyond a healthy diet. Rather, it is all about the unity of body, spirit and soul. Being aware and taking time out will help you centre yourself, to take a break, and to grant your needs more room. It is precisely this kind of equilibrium that inspires a profound inner contentment, and positively impacts your body, spirit and soul.

The Alpina Gstaad offers you all the amenities of a 5-star luxury hotel, highly skilled therapists, and unspoilt nature right outside the door. The hotel neatly combines cosy alpine chic with stylistic elements from Asia. Fir wood centuries old, hand-carved stones, natural materials such as leather, linen, cashmere and hides are mixed with tranquil Zen design at the Japanese “Megu” restaurant and at the Six Senses Spa, the concept of which is rooted in Far-Eastern tradition.

The hotel rooms are dominated by a modern design that, while paying homage to the Swiss alpine chalet style, elevates it suavely to contemporary elegance. Ceilings with traditional wood carvings, wooden wall panelling, headboards made of leather and lamps shaped like cow bells create a cosy atmosphere. All rooms come with balcony and scenic views.
