La Cialoma Restaurant, Marzamemi
If you are looking for that authentic Sicilian experience and its classic maritime cuisine, you should go and see Lina Campisi. She lives and works in the fishing village of Marzamemi where she grew up. Her father and grandfather both worked in the former tuna processing plant. So she arguably grew up with fish, and can tell differences in quality without even trying. A mother of five, she is bursting with energy, and being a chef is her true calling. Her simple seafood dishes are served with pungent vegetables, crisp salads, and an outstanding zesty olive oil of regional provenience. The maxim is "buy locally." Opening hours: lunch and dinner every day.

A scenic spot in the southern part of the island. The entrance to the restaurant is located on the picturesque "Piazza Regina Margherita" in Marzamemi, and the patio behind the house directly overlooks the sea.
The turquoise-coloured wooden chairs and white tables call to mind a Greek tavern. If it was not for grandma's lace doilies on the tables, we might forget we are in Sicily.
Lunch is served on the large patio beneath the shady straw roof by the sea. At night, you dine on the piazza or in the rustic interior.
Lina Campisi serves an honest seafood cuisine without frills. Depending on the season, you may find young tuna on the menu, for not all tuna is the same. "Tonino" is the term for the blue-fin tuna before it has fattened up and weighs up to 700 kilograms, and it is truly a delicacy. Don't miss out on the classic "La ghiotta di tonno."
Well appointed wine list of Sicilian vintages.
Friendly, though a bit tardy and neglectful.
