Cervo Hotel, Zermatt

The local hero among the exceptional hotels at the foot of the Matterhorn. Opened in the winter of 2009, the six modern wooden chalets are a charming combination of contemporary Alpine chic with clever interior design. Massive wooden beams, stag antlers, warm colours, finest materials, chequered fabrics, and a love for detail create a cosy atmosphere and accentuate the lodge feeling. Even for pampered guests, the "Cervo" is not too rustic: Each chalet has its own little spa, while the beautiful lounge/bar lets you forget time and hour, and the restaurant's fine cuisine delights even the most discriminating palate. A perfectly located "ski in - ski out" resort for ambitious ski enthusiasts and those who wish to make full use of their 7-day ticket without missing out on the pleasures of après-ski.

  • Location

Beautifully located on the hillside, at the end of the slope high above Zermatt. Take the lift down to the Sunnegga railway, and you are well within reach of the town centre – it is just a 10-minute walk.

  • Ambience

The charming way to experience a modern alpine lodge in an easygoing atmosphere.

  • Infrastructure

2 restaurants "Stuba" and "Ferdinand", a bar/lounge, a sun terrace with view of the Matterhorn, each chalet featuring its own spa area with sauna, steam room, outdoor whirlpool, massage-and resting room.

  • Culinary

Local specialities creatively interpreted. A cosy place to dine is the "Stuba's" table number four in the corner close to the window. We were enchanted by the aromatic and tender Luma beef entrecôte. We would also recommend the home made Cervo burger with thyme brioche, served with Cervo fries with truffle oil and parmiggiano.

  • Rooms

35 cosy as-new rooms and spacious suites, spread across 6 chalets. All rooms with balcony or terrace as well as a view of the Matterhorn (from the front or the side). We will tell you what the nicest rooms are.

  • Service

The omnipresent hosts Seraina and Daniel F. Lauber are fully dedicated to their guests' well-being.
